About the app
BBYO provides this app for BBYO EC26, the Europe Convention 2026 in Szarvas, Hungary, only: for registered teens, staff, parents and guardians, and Boulevard partners. It’s free and made for the convention, which ends on 8 November 2026. The app stays open after EC, and the personal data in it is deleted on 8 December 2026.
By using the app you agree to these terms and to the code of conduct. How the app uses your data is in the privacy notice.
Your account
- Your account is just for you. Never share your sign-in code or sign-in link.
- Sign out on any phone or computer you share with someone else.
- If you think someone else is using your account, tell a staff member straight away.
The BBYO code of conduct
BBYO EC26 works because everyone looks out for each other. These are the key points of BBYO’s code of conduct:
- Respect everyoneTreat everyone at convention, on the buses, and in Budapest with respect. Include everyone, whatever their community, background, or beliefs.
- No bullying, harassment, or hateNot in person, not in group chats, not online. That includes unwanted touching and comments that make someone feel unsafe.
- No alcohol, drugs, smoking, or vapingAt any time during BBYO EC26: at convention, on the buses, and in Budapest. Don’t bring, buy, or share them.
- Stay in bounds, stay with your groupStay in program areas and with your group. Never leave the site, or your group in Budapest, without a staff member’s OK.
- In your own room by lights outBe in your own room by lights out and stay there until wake-up. Sleeping rooms are only for the people sleeping in them.
- Keep relationships appropriateNo sexual activity, and keep affection low-key, so everyone feels comfortable everywhere.
- Phones with carePut your phone away when a staff member asks, in sessions and during Shabbat programming. Never film or photograph someone without their OK.
- Speak upIf you’re worried about yourself or someone else, tell a staff member straight away, or use Report a concern in Help.
BBYO’s code of conduct and disciplinary procedures apply the whole time at BBYO EC26: at convention, on the buses, in Budapest, and online.
Teens and staff can read the rules for social media and photos, and find the full code, in the app under Help: Code of conduct.
What you post
- You're responsible for what you post, and you keep the rights to your photos.
- You let BBYO show what you post to people at BBYO EC26, in the app, during the convention and after it. The BBYO EC26 core team may also share a post’s photos and caption with parents and guardians in the app, without your name. It’s deleted with the rest of the personal data in the app on 8 December 2026.
- Only post photos you took or are allowed to share, and only of people who are OK with it.
- Delete your own posts any time. If someone asks you to take down a photo of them, please do.
- Keep other people’s details private: never share someone’s phone number, address, room, or socials without their OK.
When something isn't OK
Anyone can report a post, and staff look at every report. Staff can:
- remove posts, photos, pins, and song requests
- pause features like photo sharing or pins for everyone
- suspend someone's access to the app
Anything serious is handled under BBYO’s convention rules and safeguarding policies, like anything else at BBYO EC26.
Safety
The app isn’t an emergency service. In an emergency call 112, or find any staff member straight away.
If you’re worried about your safety or someone else’s, use Report a concern in Help, or talk to a staff member. For everyday problems, like wanting to change rooms, talk to a staff member in person.
Staff confidentiality
Staff see private details about teens: rooms, travel, dietary needs and allergies, and for the safety leads, medical and wellbeing notes. Every staff member agrees to this before using the app:
- Only to keep teens safeUse what you see about teens only to look after them and run BBYO EC26. Nothing else.
- Never screenshot or share care detailsDietary, allergy, medical, wellbeing, and room details stay in the app. Don't copy, photograph, or forward them.
- Concerns go to the safeguarding leadsReport anything worrying straight away with Report a concern, or tell a safeguarding lead in person.
- Lock up and sign outKeep your phone locked, never lend your account, and sign out on any shared device.
- Tell us if something slipsIf teens' details reach someone who shouldn't have them, tell an admin straight away so we can act fast.
Exports from Staff tools (like feedback downloads) stay on your device only as long as you need them, and are deleted by 8 December 2026. This is version 2026-10, 7 October 2026.
Changes and questions
When these terms change, the new version is shown in the app the next time you open it. Questions? Ask your coordinator or any staff member.
